Chainlink Labs: Data Feeds v1.0

Project Overview
A case study on how I designed and iterated on a Chainlink Labs product called Data Feeds.
What is Chainlink Data Feeds?
Chainlink Data Feeds is a Web 3.0 data product. It aggregates many data sources through a decentralized mechanism of independent node operators.
Contributions
I had direct ownership of:
  • flows, prototyping
  • interaction design
  • usability testing
  • visual design and Q/A

Problem

Chainlink Lab’s navigation was originally designed to keep it simple. It was easy-to-use and clean for users to find Data Feeds when there were a handful of categories (i.e Cryptocurrencies and Foreign Exchange.)

As the number of Data Feeds scaled, the navigation started to break.

Process

Team Alignment

The Product Design team, (with Jason Walker at the helm), lead a workshop to align  stakeholders from the executive leadership to gain alignment on the direction of this project.

Between Product Design, Engineering, Product Management and Marketing, we brainstormed and identified the user stories for highest impact.
